Kevin Costner and his second wife divorced and got into a custody battle again?

Kevin Costner’s wife, Christine Baumgartner, has filed for divorce from the Yellowstone star after 18 years of marriage and three children together.

The split was said to be due to "irreconcilable differences" as Baumgartner requested joint custody of their children -
 Cayden (15), Hayes (14) and Grace (12).

It is known that Kevin Costner filed a response to the divorce on May 2 and he is also seeking joint custody of their children.

The 68-year-old actor and Baumgartner, 49 - a model and fashion designer - started dating in 2000 and married at
Costner's Aspen, Colorado ranch in 2004.
“Sadly, circumstances beyond Costner's control occurred that involved him in a matrimonial lawsuit,” a statement from
Costner's representative said.
“We ask that the privacy of him, Christine and their children be respected as they navigate this difficult time,” the statement
concluded.
Baumgartner reportedly did not file for spousal support, with Costner's response filed by Laura Wasser.
"Spousal support must be paid to the petitioner in accordance with the terms of the parties' Prenuptial Agreement,
" Wasser said, pointing out that there was a prenuptial agreement between Costner and Baumgartner.
TMZ was the first news channel to report on the actor's divorce.
Costner was married to Cindy Silva from 1978 to 1994 and they have three children - Annie, 39, Lily, 36, and Joe, 35.
He also has a son Liam Costner with Bridget Rooney - whom he dated after breaking up with Silva.
The divorce news comes weeks after DailyMail.com reported new details about Costner's rift with Yellowstone creator
Taylor Sheridan.
The film tells the story of billionaire John Dutton, who owns a large farm adjacent to the famous Yellowstone National
Park.
He and his children must defend the farm against those who want to take it over for their own purposes - from
neighboring Indian tribes to wealthy landowners.
Sources claim that Costner was frustrated with Sheridan's development of the hit Paramount network series.
"Kevin will forever be proud and grateful that Yellowstone and the cast are like family to him," the source said of Costner,
who recently won a Golden Globe for Best Actor for role of John Dutton.
Costner is currently directing and starring in Horizon - a Western series consisting of 4 separate films, each nearly 3 hours
long, to be released 3 months apart.
Along with tensions with Sheridan, it was also reported last year that Baumgartner - Costner's wife - was fed up with her
husband's busy work schedule.
